About this event

Women Who Hike will celebrate National Public Lands Day at Sinks Canyon State Park in Lander, WY. Explore this beautiful canyon and the Popo Agie River through hiking, caving, and a service project.

Women are expected to arrive at the park by 6:00PM Friday, and stay through noon on Sunday October 1st.

Cost includes all food, tent sites, etc. Some gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad) is available to borrow from Wyoming State Parks. All cooking equipment is supplied and everyone is expected to pitch in on cooking and cleaning. Women will be contacted as the date of the event approaches with a form to fill out for dietary restrictions, gear rental, and other needs.

Sinks Canyon State Park is the ancestral homeland of the Eastern Shoshone, Crow, and Cheyenne tribes and remains the home of many native peoples and sits near the Wind River Reservation.

Angelina is a native Oklahoman who grew up in the outdoors. Angelina has a biology degree that led her to work with protected species for many years before moving into the outreach realm of being an Interpretive Park Ranger.
